In the study of factors affecting the casting temperature of aluminum sheets, we have introduced the influence of Mg content on the cracks in 7075 aluminum sheets. It has been found that when the aluminum plate is likely to have cracks, the Mg content is experimentally less than 2.5%. It can be seen that increasing the content of Mg in the aluminum plate has a significant effect on reducing the possibility of cracking of the 7075 aluminum plate. The reason is very simple, that is, the two elements produce a chemical reaction to form a compound, so that the amount of silicon ions in the alloy is reduced, thereby reducing the probability of crack generation.
Zinc also has a certain influence on the tensile strength of 7075 aluminum plate, and increasing its content will increase its tensile strength. However, it should not be too high, because too high a content will reduce its corrosion resistance and durability, and will also affect its service life.
In addition, during the processing and casting process, heat treatment, such as annealing, tempering, etc., can well remove spots, scratches, cracks, etc. on the surface of the 7075 aluminum plate, which has certain guiding significance for improving the surface roughness.
At the same time, a small amount of copper is added to the 7075 aluminum plate, which also has an effect on the probability of cracking of the aluminum plate. The 7075 aluminum plate itself has a relatively high copper content, which further leads to the occurrence of cracks. Reducing the copper content also increases the shape of the material and enhances its overall performance.
