The 1000 series is pure aluminum. For example, the aluminum plate of 1060 contains more than 99% aluminum, which is mainly composed of aluminum.
Our 2000 series is mainly made of copper alloy-based alloy aluminum. Among such alloy aluminum plates, our copper content is between 2% and 5%. But it is also possible to be a little higher. The 2000 series is characterized by a relatively high hardness compared to other series. Therefore, many of our aerospace materials require 2000 series of alloy aluminum plates.
The alloy aluminum plates of the 3000 series are mainly composed of manganese. The 4000 series of alloy aluminum plates are mainly made of silicon. The 6000 series is a combination of 4000 and 5000. The main alloying elements include silicon and magnesium. 7000 is mainly represented by 7075 aluminum plate. The 8000 series is mainly represented by 8011.
It is worth mentioning that the 5000 series that are not mentioned are representative series of alloy aluminum plates. Usually, some models such as 5052 and 5083 are alloy aluminum plates which are very common in China and even in the world. Because it has many excellent features, such as light weight, high tensile strength, good elongation, good corrosion resistance, etc., it has been favored by many people.
