Chinalco.com integrated external power on October 30th: Although there is a surplus of aerospace aluminum product inventory, Caesar Aluminium is still optimistic about the long-term prospects of the aerospace and automotive markets.
Jack Hockema, Chairman, President and CEO of Kaiser Aluminum, said in an interview with reporters on October 29: "We believe that the aerospace market in 2012 and 2013 is very good, and the market may continue or may be better in 2014."
In addition, demand in the automotive market is expected to continue to grow, and the amount of aluminum used in vehicles continues to increase. After the company's third-quarter new project was launched, the demand for automotive extrusion products increased significantly, and this trend is expected to continue.
According to Hockema, aluminum profiles are mainly used in automotive brake systems, driveshaft tubes and bumper systems.
