Thin film theory believes that during the passivation process, an oxide film is formed on the metal surface. It is precisely because of this layer of friction that the base metal is separated from the corrosive medium to protect the body metal from further corrosion. According to the adsorption theory, in the process of passivation of aluminum alloy sheet/aluminum alloy rod, a metal layer forms an adsorption layer, which is mainly an adsorption layer. It is because of the presence of this layer of adsorption that the corrosion of the metal is improved. However, in the above two theories, the complete passivation phenomenon cannot be completely explained and needs further improvement.
